The passing of the old year and the Beginning of the New

I do not do New Year's Resolutions, nor do I recommend them for others.  I find they set us up to fail. To make a list of what I am not going to do or what I am going to do, seems to me to be just the opposite. We people don't want to "have to" and its like climbing into another 'rules box'.  I really dislike failing especially planning it all out. Also it seems when we haven't done what we set out to do, that we take on the whole guilt thing...well lets just forget all that and move forward. So for me I spend Dec. 31st. quietly reflecting over the past year. All of its "Joys" and all of the things that have not been so joyful, but which I feel have led me to here, right now. To everything which has helped me become who I am, and to all who I share my life with...that means you. For you have enriched my life, you touch my life and contribute to who I am. Thank you.  I think about where I may have veered from my path or where I chose a new path, and how that all feels and where it is leading me.
Tomorrow evening Dec. 31st is an evening of healing for me.  I let go of all I can that is not serving me and my growth.  I create space by letting go, by releasing, by forgiving, which allows for new growth, new ideas, new awarenesses, new visions, new wonders.  How awesome can that be?
As the clock strikes 12:00 I watch the old year fall away, and I take that brand new step forward into the brand New Year ahead.  I take this step, just one step at a time into this newness filled with abundant expectancy...no expectations...just openess, willingness, wonder and awe.

Happy New Year!  I Love you!  I Honor You! Namaste

The Phoenix

So many of us are experiencing change, are experiencing the end of something in our lives and the beginning of something new.  Before we are ready for a change it feels so often like we are being brought down to our lowest, it feels tough and it puts us in the place of needing to take good hard look at ourselves, going within and seeing what we truly want and need.  We must reach the place where we are able to leap, to jump into the void, to surrender to change, to let go of things no longer serve us...it means the death of old ideas and concepts.  It means being right here now, willing to begin again, ready for a new start, a rebirth.
This is what the bird, the Phoenix represents the completion of the old through fire, and its rebirth, new vitality, new awarenesses, new starts, new life.
As we are going through these changes, alterations, and rebirth, meditate on the Phoenix, and see yourself leaving the old behind and "Arising from the Depths" into this new and glorious you.

Blessings of Joy

Blessings of Joy, Harmony, Peace, Divine Perfect Health, Love, Light,  Laughter,  and Abundance in all be yours during the holidays and throughout the New Year of 2011.  As we near the beginning of a New Year, let us reflect on this year of 2010 and become consciously aware of where we need and want to place our  intention in the creating of this ‘our’ new year a “New Beginning”. Keeping in mind that ‘We’ are deserving, special, magnificent, incredible,
beautiful, giving, loving, kind, creative, worthwhile, capable, and strong Spirits.  That we keep open and ready to move into whatever is our ‘calling’ our ‘role’  our  ‘new path” as we continue our travels along on our physical journey.
Let us be more consciously aware of each other and our oneness in everyway.  Shine’ your light as never before, let your light shine so bright that it awakens others to join with you in creating change.
I am in Gratitude for you in my life and I am sending you Light and huge Love.

Energies

The energies are pretty intense right now, with a Winter Solstice, a Full Moon and a full Lunar Eclipse.  The energy being brought down to earth at this time is very powerful and so you might be feeling somewhat intense, nervous, wired, or emotionally distraught.  If you are tired extremely tired, it is okay, and be sure and honor yourself by napping.  It is our body's way of integrating what is taking place with the extremes.  Spend time in meditation, find a beautiful painting, or piece of art and go with it and let yourself meander through all the areas of it and feel the peace become part of you.
Do not feel that there is something wrong or go into any kind of fear...all is well and we are right where we need to be, doing what we need to do. Just go with the flow and ride it out. This too will pass.

You are your personal artist

Taking one step at a time, take a look at ourselves, all the nitty gritty bits, look carefully from the inside out. There are many things that we have chosen in our life to adopt and become, but as we look carefully there are things which have proven they do not work for us, or things which used to be okay but now they just don't fit the bill.

So being the artist of self,  we can play the role of scuptor, and begin chiselling away at all the junk and stuff that is no longer working for us.  The junk and stuff, isn't the thing that we want to have as a reflection of self.  So picking up the chisel and working very slowly, surely, one step at a time, we will be able to reveal the "Real Me".

It will bring a feeling of great Joy and Gratitude as we work on our masterpiece...the one called
'My Magnificent Being' We become the Artist and the Healer

Honoring Our Needs

When it comes to healing, it is simply amazing all the things that are at our fingertips that can help us with our healing. Painting or to look at a painting, music or to play the music, or sounds, looking at photos, playing with rocks, crafts of different kinds, sitting in quiet, a puzzle, the list goes on and on.  The thing is....do we take the time, either to create it or to enjoy it?  Do we honor our needs?

We are not used to filling or honoring our own needs, we are more in the habit of looking after others.  It is time folks to think about you.  If you do not look after you, and find solutions to the normal stress and then the extra stress that comes along, then sooner or later you run out of steam and you are not able to help anyone else.  So it is impoortant to keep 'you' well, to do things for 'you' that nourish you and feed your soul.

I find when I am painting I am honoring myself and I am feeding my soul.  Try and find something for yourself that you receive pleasure in.  For when we are in a state of Joy, pleasure, honoring, feeding ourselves,  we are in the vortex..we are with Spirit.

Spirit Totems

With this painting one can bring the energy of these animals right into your home.  At this time of our growth, development, ascension, we need to look to the animals as they are key players in our lives.  We can look at them and see things they are doing differently, we can see how early they are preparing for winter, how much stock piling they are doing, whether there coats are getting heavier.  But also they give us signs, if an animal comes into your life, your vision, what does that animal represent?  Now the painting I am going to post has the following animals in it.

The Bear...meaning 'Awakening the Power of the Unconscious' bear medicine (meaning its presence in your life) can teach you to go deep within so that your decisions and judgements are made with power.

The Buffalo meaning 'Manifesting Through Right Action and Right Prayer'...if Buffalo has shown up to you it could possibly mean that the opportunity for you to be manifesting abundance in some area of your life could be at hand.

The Mountain Goat...'Surefootedness and Seeking New Heights', are you needing to be more surefooted? are you seeking to rise above present limitations and go beyond...let go of outmoded and climb?

The Mountain Sheep/Big Horned Sheep...'New Beginnings'..is it time for you to make new choices, to start again, to make a move?

The Horse...'Power, Travel and Freedom'...ummm travel, is it time for a trip and where is it that you need to go, do you need to have freedom in making your own choices, or freedom in speaking your truth, and do you need the power to do that...then look to the horse for help.

The Wolf...'Guardianship, Ritual, Loyalty, and Spirit' they have extremely keen senses, it makes quick and firm emotional attachments, so learning to trust your own insights is part of the wolf medicine, it can help you hear the inner messages guard you from inappropriate actions. when the wolf shows up its its time to breathe new life into your rituals find a new path.

The Eagle...'Illumination of Spirit, Healing, and Creation'..messengers from heaven, new visions will open, meditation on the figure 8 especially the infinity symbol, will reveal much about the kind of vision the eagle can awaken. its also about taking the responsibility to become so much more than you now appear to be.

The paintings I paint are for healing, they each have a message....find the message that is for you.

When I Paint

It's a wonderful thing to find something that we can be absorbed in a hobby or a passion, painting is one of my passions. When that takes place, and we are absorbed in our passion we are in that very moment.  We are not thinking about the past, which is gone, nor are we thinking about the future, which hasn't arrived.  The only real true time is right this moment.  So that is being in the "now" it means we are grounded...and we are in real time, benefiting, healing and living for this very second of time. Right now in this nano second we have it all...we are okay.
